Dosa Plate
A Dosa Plate is a flat, heavy-duty cooking surface used for preparing dosa, uttapam, omelette, chapati, and other flat food items in commercial and domestic kitchens. A dosa plate is widely used in restaurants, hotels, canteens, food courts, and catering units for high-volume cooking. It consists of a thick metal plate (usually mild steel or cast iron) mounted on a sturdy stainless steel body frame. The flat surface allows even heat distribution, ensuring proper cooking and crisp texture of dosa. It operates using LPG or PNG gas burners placed underneath the plate. It is ideal for continuous cooking in busy commercial kitchens due to its durability and large cooking surface.
